Tony was appointed Queen’s Counsel on January 31, 2010.
In Canada, the honorary title of Queen’s Counsel, or QC, is used to recognize Canadian lawyers for exceptional merit and contribution to the legal profession. Tony was appointed Queen’s Counsel by Lieutenant-Governor Norman Kwong from members of the Alberta bar, on the recommendation of the provincial Attorney General.
